Ian Lloyd Interview on The Time Machine
Rocker Ian Lloyd was a guest on The Time Machine last week. From the band Stories that gave the seventies one of the coolest radio hits ("Brother Louie") to his solo career and numerous projects including Social Hero, Ian had never recorded a Christmas song. The Maui FM dial was treated to the first official Christmas song of the season (And a week before Halloween - a first for The Time Machine). In addition to sharing the new rocking yuletide song "Everybody's Happy 'Cause It's Christmas Time", Ian also discussed his musical career.
Brand new songs were also featured from Vinnie Zummo ("Didn't Get The Memo"), Tam Duong ("In The Elevator"), John Hunter Phillips (Dennis, Carl, Alan, Brian, Bruce and Mike") Strangefinger ("I Feel Fine") plus Sara Bareilles, The Wellingtons, Michelle Branch and The Outfield. Other artists featured on this Maui afternoon FM radio aircheck include; The Pendletons, Jack Johnson, The Donnas, Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods, Pez Band, Dion and Social Hero. Since most of The Time Machine's airchecks over the last few decades were courtesy of TDK and Maxell, it was only proper to include Ian Lloyd's appearance in the TDK advertisement seen above.
