    Alika Seki Discusses Maui Comic Con 2018 On The Time Machine





    Maui Comics & Collectibles' Alika Seki returned to The Time Machine to share with the Maui radio audience the exciting events scheduled for Maui Comic Con 2018. Looking forward to this. Alika is always a blast to have on the air on The Time Machine and this weekend's festivities at Maui Comic Con promises to be fun. Maui Comic Con is a free-to-the-public comic convention made by locals for locals to showcase local talent as well as some of the biggest names in the comic industry.

    Located at University of Hawaii Maui College, the event is scheduled for October 27th & 28th, Saturday and Sunday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM each day, with a preview day featuring the vendors on Friday October 26th 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

    Special guests this year include: Trina Robbins (Wonder Woman, Wimmin's Comix, Vampirella), Steve Leialoha (Doctor Strange, Howard the Duck, New Mutants, Fables), Steve Lavigne (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mirage Publishing), Bob Camp (Ren & Stimpy, Thundercats, Mighty Magi-swords), and the creator of Venom, legendary Marvel comics writer David Michelinie.

    Maui Comic Con will also be joined by many more local artists and Hawaiian Comic Book Alliance members in the artists alley from all over Hawaii. The vendor hall is packed with local businesses and comic shops. This year's food will be provided by local school groups organized by the Maui High School PTSA to help raise funds towards their activities.

    All this and the official Night Darling Cosplay competition, COMPLETELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC.

    Andrew Curry and Vegas With Randolph's John Ratts and Eric Kern Return To The Time Machine





    Rockers and singer-songwriters John Ratts and Eric Kern of the band Vegas With Randolph returned to The Time Machine to feature the world broadcast debuts of a couple of their latest songs off of their brand new album "Legs and Luggage". Andrew Curry returned to the broadcast to share the world broadcast debuts from several artists appearing on the upcoming release of "White Lace & Promises: The Songs Of Paul Williams" from the record label Curry Cuts. Radio hosts Tanya Teal, Michael McCartney and Andrew Curry played these wonderful new arrangements of Paul Williams classic songs from The Davenports, Eytan Mirsky, Corin Ashley, Ballzy Tomorrow, The New Empire and Andy Reed.

    Brand new music was also featured on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck from Mike Viola,Danny Wilkerson, Astral Drive, The Grip Weeds, Chris Price, Bleu, Fernando Perdomo featuring Dr. Danny, Megan Zeankowski & Ken Sharp.     Singer-songwriter Andy Reed returns to The Time Machine with the world broadcast debut of his latest single “Truth To My Love”.


    Brand new songs were heard from The Wellingtons, Screen Test, I.S.S. (Ideal Social Situation), Steve Craig and the newly remastered "Back In The U.S.S.R." for the 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles aka The White Album.     Andrew Curry Debuts The Corner Laughers And Bleu Returns To The Time Machine





    Rocker and singer-songwriter Bleu returned as a musical guest on The Time Machine. Bleu shared with the Maui radio audience the inspiration behind his latest single "Love You So". Curry Cuts' label head Andrew Curry returns to share with radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney the world broadcast debut of The Corner Laughers' arrangement of "Movin' Right Along" off of the forthcoming album release "White Lace & Promises - The Songs of Paul Williams" which anyone who sang along to the songs of 1979's "The Muppet Movie" will know by heart.

    Rex Smith Interview On The Time Machine






    Actor and singer-songwriter Rex Smith was a recent guest on The Time Machine. Rex shared with the Maui radio audience the stories and inspirations behind the songs of his musical career. He also discussed with radio hosts Michael McCartney and Tanya Teal what it was like to work on the stage, in film and television in a wide variety of roles, in addition to launching the career of actor George Clooney and working with Linda Ronstadt, Kevin Kline and Rachel Sweet.
