Michael Carpenter Returns To The Time Machine

Rocker, singer-songwriter and producer Michael Carpenter returned to The Time Machine to discuss his three new album releases all within a year. Michael shared his thoughts with radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCarteney behind both of what may be his final solo album "The Big Radio" and final album with The Cuban Heels titled "Ain't Nothing Left To Say". Coming on the tail end of these releases is Michael's sixth "Songs Of Other People" as "S.O.O.P. #6" which is another brilliant collection of covers that the artist enjoys doing. A wide variety of tunes from artists as varied as George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen, Rockpile, Cheap Trick, Cliff Richard, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dwight Twilley Band, The Searchers (Jackie DeShannon fans rejoice) and even Maui's own mid-seventies band The Gerbils. The Time Machine Crew were excited to have Michael Carpenter back on the broadcast and cherish his work with Marty Rudnick over a decade ago that lead to The Time Machine's first official theme song of the new millennium.

Brand new music was also featured from Seth Swirsky, Stephen Bishop, Mark Bacino, Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra, Kimo Nevius, Ken Sharp and Steve Craig. Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon aircheck include; The Pretenders, Bread, The Fireman, Glen Campbell, Grapefruit, Bay City Rollers, Mike Viola, The Waifs, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Beach Boys, Robert Gordon, John Lennon & The Plastic Ono Band, The Bangles, People On Vacation, The Smith Bros. and The Orchid Highway.
