Eric Barao Interview on The Time Machine

Singer-songwriter Eric Barao was our guest on The Time Machine in the Spring of 2013 just as his wonderful debut album was about to be released. His band The Cautions had been a Time Machine staple in the previous decade and his song "On Holiday" went on to become one of the most played songs of the year on The Time Machine. His music is simply pure pop bliss.

Sara Syms Interview and Andrew Curry Debuts Seth Swirsky Cover

Singer-songwriter Sara Syms was a guest on The Time Machine. The gifted artist shared with the Maui radio audience the inspiration behind her latest single "Dance On My Grave" from her forthcoming album. Her LP is currently taking pledges at IndieGoGo.com. Monsters Of Lite Rock's Andrew Curry also returns to the radio show to feature another radio debut from the upcoming late April release of "Drink A Toast To Innocence: A Tribute To Lite Rock". This time around, a favorite of The Time Machine's playlist for a long time as both a solo aritst and a member of The Red Button, Seth Swirsky has his version of the classic Henry Gross song "Shannon" make its world broadcast debut. The talented singer-songwriter, author, baseball enthusiast and film maker pays tribute to one of his favorite songs of the seventies. Andrew also shares The Popdudes covering Walter Egan's massive radio hit "Magnet and Steel" which made its debut on WMEL's "Pop Garden Radio" with Adam Waltemire at the beginning of the year.

Two new songs from Courtney Jaye's upcoming album "Love and Forgiveness" were featured on the radio show. The singer-songwriter is back on the airwaves with "Morning" and "Say Oh Say". Garnering more airplay were The Waking Hours with "Fools Rush In" off of the brand new album "Legacy - A Tribute to Rick Nelson Volume 1". Brand new songs were also heard on the broadcast from the Electric Light Orchestra with "One Day", Mark Lindsay's "Like Nothing You Seen", "Didn't Mean It That Way" by Danni Rosner, "If I Could Ask You" from Lannie Flowers and co-written with former Time Machine guest disc jockey Elizabeth Racz, The Bayonets (the duo of Oliver Leiber and Brian Ray) with "Sucker For Love", Rachael Yamagata's "Nothing Gets By Here" and Whitney Wolanin's "Wrong Guy (I Did It Again)". Other songs heard on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck include Linus Of Hollywood's cover of the Bee Gees "Run To Me", Justin Currie & The Uncle Devil Show with their song "Gilbert O'Sullivan", "Out Of The Question" from Gilbert O'Sullivan, ABBA's "That's Me", Five For Fighting's "Slice" and The Smith Bros. with "The Time Machine (Keep Listening)".

Drink A Toast To Innocence: A Tribute To Light Rock on Facebook

Lannie Flowers, Ryan Robinson and Andrew Curry Interviews On The Time Machine

Rocker Lannie Flowers returns to The Time Machine with his brand new song "I Could Ask You" co-written with songwriter Elizabeth Racz. Monsters Of Lite Rock's Andrew Curry also returns to the radio show to feature another radio debut from the upcoming late April release of "Drink A Toast To Innocence: A Tribute To Lite Rock". This time around, Second Saturday's Wyatt Funderburk, has his version of the classic Michael Johnson song "Bluer Than Blue" make its world broadcast debut. Singer-songwriter Ryan Robinson also shared stories behind a few of his songs off of his debut release "A Couch To Call Home" released last month.





Two other songs made their global radio debut from the Electric Light Orchestra and Robert Gay. "One Day" is a bonus track from the forthcoming re-release and remastered "Zoom" from ELO that will be released on April 23rd, along with a live ELO album and a remastered "Armchair Theater" which was Jeff Lynne's first solo album that finally returns to the digital world. All three albums will be released with bonus tracks on the same day. Robert Gay's song "Katie" is one of the many fine songs found on his latest release "When I Was Young". Other songs heard on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck include David Myhr's "Record Collection", The Smith Bros. with "The Time Machine (Keep Listening)" and Elvis Costello & The Attractions with Daryl Hall performing the 1984 classic "The Only Flame In Town".

Guitarist and singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt was a guest on The Time Machine. The gifted artist discussed her latest album "Slipstream" that she self released on her own label for the first time in her musical career. Bonnie also shared stories with radio host Michael McCartney about her early Maui performances in the seventies and how much the islands have meant to her over the years.

Joe Giddings and Andrew Curry Interviews on The Time Machine

Rocker and singer-songwriter Joe Giddings from the JTG Explosion and Star Collector was a recent guest on The Time Machine. The talented artist shared stories about his earlier days of music and what he's been up to lately including his contribution of a cover of Alan O'Day's "Undercover Angel" from the forthcoming release "Drink A Toast To Innocence: A Tribute To Lite Rock". Monster Of Lite Rock's Andrew Curry returned to The Time Machine as well to debut two brand new arrangements of classic songs from "Drink A Toast To Innocence: A Tribute To Lite Rock". Andrew has become a fixture on The Time Machine Radio Show since late last year discussing the album project and featuring songs from this loving tribute for pop fans all over the world. This time around, making their world broadcast debut on the radio, were not Joe Giddings take on "Undercover Angel" but also singer-songwriter and producer Bleu's arrangement of the classic Player song "Baby Come Back".


Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck include Alan Merrill with "Hard Hearted Woman" and The Knack with "Sweet Dreams".

Singer-songwriter John Ondrasik was a guest on The Time Machine. The gifted artist discussed his forthcoming album along with stories behind his massive radio hits under the moniker Five For Fighting. The talented composer and vocalist will be performing at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali on Maui this March 16th with Five For Fighting's full band.
