Lucy Schwartz Continues To Wow Music Lovers

Singer-songwriter Lucy Schwartz was a musical guest on The Time Machine. Her music has been a part of our playlists for years since her debut album "Winter In June" was released. In addition to her recently released EP "Help Me! Help Me!", Lucy has had her music featured in numerous television programs and motion pictures. Lucy recently performed on "The Tonight Show" a few weeks ago and is slated for Lilith Fair in Ridgefield, Washington on July 2nd along with Sheryl Crow, A Fine Frenzy and Sarah McLachlan. Her sophomore album "Life In Letters" is scheduled to be released this August. Just out this week is the soundtrack to "Shrek Forever" which features a duet with Lucy Schwartz and Landon Pigg titled "Darling I Do". Here is their music video:

The final music video from Lucy Schwartz is a song that was the first musical gem that The Time Machine had in the number one spot week after week for a number of months back in 2006 when Lucy Schwartz was simply known to our radio audience as Lucy. Here is "I Don't Know A Thing":

Andy Reed Interview on The Time Machine

Singer-songwriter Andy Reed was a guest on The Time Machine this past week. The Michigan based artist shared his thoughts on the music from his album "Fast Forward" and his debut EP "The Great Compression". Andy's songwriting skills are strong and with his other roles as an engineer, producer and a multi-instrumentalist, The Time Machine Crew finds the artist fitting quite comfortably on our playlists.

We've raved about internet radio station KGRL over the years as the station that The Time Machine Crew listens to when not at work. That's right...we listen to other radio programmers because we already know what we play and talk about, so it's fun to listen to someone else as escapism like any other radio listener. In addition to KGRL, which is celebrating it's fourth year this month, we often find ourselves listening in on Saturday evenings to an AM radio broadcast online from WMEL in Florida. Saturday nights have been the home to "Pop Garden Radio" hosted by Adam Waltemire. Our own Michael McCartney even found himself as an in-studio guest back in 2007. This coming Saturday, May 15th, 2010 will be the broadcast's fifth anniversary. Following Andy Reed's interview on this broadcast, Adam Waltemire drops in and discusses the last five years of "Pop Garden Radio". Adam also trades banter with The Time Machine's producer Jenny Leong.

As the summer season approaches, The Time Machine has been spinning a number of brand new songs from talented musical acts, that over the years, have become core artists on the broadcast. Artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast with brand new releases include; Seth Swirsky, Keola Beamer & Raiatea, Nushu, Maple Mars, Anuhea, Kate Miller-Heidke, Butch Walker & The Black Widows, The Smith Bros. and Marianne Keith. In addition, classic songs from both The Verve Pipe and Paul & Linda McCartney are featured.
