Maxi Dunn Interview On The Time Machine

Singer-songwriter Maxi Dunn was a guest on The Time Machine this past week. The artist from Liverpool was on the same program as The Bleachers so you may hear two of the same songs heard on The Bleachers podcast. In our attempt to save you space on your hard drive or time spent listening online, we have edited the FM broadcast into two parts. The Bleachers portion of the radio show has already been posted. Enjoy the vocal performance of Maxi Dunn, as we have the past few years, in addition to a brand new song from this talented artist.

Also featured on this afternoon FM broadcast is the latest song from Laurie Biagini titled "Another Old Lazy Lyin' On The Beach Afternoon" which fits most of The Time Machine Crew's philosophy. New music from Schuyler Fisk, The Major Labels, Mike Viola, The Smith Bros. and Rachael Yamagata are highlighted. Rounding out the broadcast are songs from; Vanilla, Tommy James & The Shondells, Kay Hanley, Marmalade, Aimee Mann, Fleetwood Mac, The Montanas, The Hollies, Peter Murray and Adam Richman.

The Bleachers Interview on The Time Machine

Marco Brizuela and Joe Maloney from The Bleachers were musical guests on The Time Machine this past week. Drummer David Hines wasn't available but we hope to have him on the next time the band is on the broadcast. This talented trio has been making a musical buzz in Spin and Rolling Stone. We were honored to have them perform a couple of the new songs from their upcoming album as well as "Stolen" from their recent release "Conjure".

Brand new songs from arists as diverse as Schuyler Fisk, Miles Nielsen, Tinted Windows and Glen Tilbrook & The Fluffers can also be heard on this afternoon FM broadcast. Other artists played by radio hosts Summer Blue and Michael McCartney include: Rusty Anderson, Michelle Lewis, Jude Cole, Mike Viola, Traveling Wilburys, Dave Edmunds, Brian Ray, Paul McCartney & Wings, Cheap Trick, Devo, Harold Faltermeyer and Fleetwood Mac. Producer Jenny Leong adds an audio trip to 1977 and air talent Kathy Collins joins in on the musical fun. Pat Dollenmayer, Mike Clark and Kris Phillips from The Smith Bros. hit the recording studio with their new theme song for The Time Machine radio show.

    An April Aircheck In Paradise

Another random afternoon radio aircheck from the FM dial on Maui's airwaves of The Time Machine featuring hosts Summer Blue and Michael McCartney. You can actually hear Summer lose her composure after Michael starts giggling over her stated love for the band Morningwood while psyching himself up for the next song. Old school broadcasting would have referred to this as a blooper. Today's world of radio simply calls it teenage humor and doesn't even give it a second thought.

Summer and Michael continue the eclectic mix of pop sounds mixing old and new songs that the daily radio show is known for. Brand new music from Alice Peacock is featured from her latest album "Love Remains" along with a live performance from the singer-songwriter's last guest appearance on the broadcast. New music is also featured from Miles Nielsen, Tinted Windows, Hey Monday, Sheri Miller, Carter Cathcart, Davie Allan & The Arrows with Lisa Mychols, and Second Saturday plus a classic from singer-songwriter Brian Tyrrell.

The Time Machine's producer Jenny Leong kept the two hosts in check while dealing with stacked albums on both vinyl and compact disc including Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich. Brian Spence is featured with his 1986 song "Brothers" and from one of The Time Machine's fave spins for over twenty-five years is the forever catchy 1983 "Bop Girl" from Australia's Pat Wilson. Other artists heard on this broadcast include; Candy Butchers, The Rolling Stones, Solveig Sandness, Rhett Miller, Paul McCartney, Mandy Moore, Acid House Kings, Morningwood and the highly underrated Tommy Knight.
