An April Aircheck In Paradise
Another random afternoon radio aircheck from the FM dial on Maui's airwaves of The Time Machine featuring hosts Summer Blue and Michael McCartney. You can actually hear Summer lose her composure after Michael starts giggling over her stated love for the band Morningwood while psyching himself up for the next song. Old school broadcasting would have referred to this as a blooper. Today's world of radio simply calls it teenage humor and doesn't even give it a second thought.
Summer and Michael continue the eclectic mix of pop sounds mixing old and new songs that the daily radio show is known for. Brand new music from Alice Peacock is featured from her latest album "Love Remains" along with a live performance from the singer-songwriter's last guest appearance on the broadcast. New music is also featured from Miles Nielsen, Tinted Windows, Hey Monday, Sheri Miller, Carter Cathcart, Davie Allan & The Arrows with Lisa Mychols, and Second Saturday plus a classic from singer-songwriter Brian Tyrrell.
The Time Machine's producer Jenny Leong kept the two hosts in check while dealing with stacked albums on both vinyl and compact disc including Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich. Brian Spence is featured with his 1986 song "Brothers" and from one of The Time Machine's fave spins for over twenty-five years is the forever catchy 1983 "Bop Girl" from Australia's Pat Wilson. Other artists heard on this broadcast include; Candy Butchers, The Rolling Stones, Solveig Sandness, Rhett Miller, Paul McCartney, Mandy Moore, Acid House Kings, Morningwood and the highly underrated Tommy Knight.
