Greg Pope And Andrew Curry Interviews On The Time Machine (Plus A Marty Balin Tribute)
Rocker and singer-songwriter Greg Pope was a recent musical guest on The Time Machine. Greg shared with radio host Michael McCartney the stories and inspirations behind the songs on his latest album "A Few Seconds Of Fame". Curry Cuts' label head Andrew Curry returns to share the world broadcast debut of both Andrea Perry's arrangement of "Fill Your Heart" and Greg Pope's cover of "Waking Up Alone" off of the forthcoming album release "White Lace & Promises - The Songs of Paul Williams".
Brand new music was also featured from The Beatles with their new remix of "Back In The U.S.S.R." plus more new music from Louise Goffin, Ken Sharp, No Small Children, Grand Canyon, Danny Wilkerson, Bleu, Lannie Flowers and Paul McCartney. Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast include; Queen, Parker McGee, Larry Lee, Jim Steinman, Paul Williams, 10cc, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, Wings, The Knack, Leslie Gore and Liverpool Echo. There's a small tribute to music of Marty Balin including his solo work along with both Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship.
On the final day of summer of 2018, rocker and singer-songwriter Mick Terry was a musical guest on The Time Machine. Mick shared the details on his sophomore album "Days Go By", the follow up to his debut album "The Grown Ups" released in 2010.
Plus artists interviewed on this broadcast include rocker Brian Ray discussing his latest single with Smokey Robinson and the band No Small Children with their brand new single featured in the Paul Feig motion picture "A Simple Favor" starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively and Henry Golding. Other artists heard on this Maui FM afternoon aircheck include; The Smith Bros., The Beach Boys, Astral Drive, Mike Viola, The Keane Brothers, George Harrison, Rod Stewart featuring Bridget Cady, Paul McCartney, People On Vacation, Matt Wertz, April March and France Gall.
Rockers and singer-songwriters Lisa Pimentel, Joanie Pimentel and Nicola Berlinsky of No Small Children were recent guests on The Time Machine. No Small Children got a chance to record their rockin’ version of a classic 1965 France Gall song for the motion picture “A Simple Favor” starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively and Henry Golding directed by Paul Feig that dominated our playlists for the fall and winter of 2018. The band’s original songs "Big Steps" and "Radio" were featured in the Netflix series "Santa Clarita Diet" starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. Their song "Radio" is featured in the recently released version of the video game Rock Band. The trio shared with radio host Michael McCartney and the Maui radio audience the band's history and what's coming soon from the group.
