Ken Sharp Debuts Utopia On The Time Machine
Rocker and singer-songwriter Ken Sharp returned to The Time Machine to share the world broadcast debut of his latest single "Utopia" featuring Fernando Perdomo and Rob Bonfiglio. Elated by the news of a reunion of Utopia, one of Ken's favorite bands, he was inspired to write an anthemic flavored prog-pop song celebrating the band and the collective ethos of the group and their fan base with mighty respect to Ken's musical heroes; Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Willie Wilcox and Roger Powell.
Also making a world broadcast debut on this broadcast was Dig's arrangement of the Burt Bacharach & Hal David timeless song "I'll Never Fall In Love Again". Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck include; Venice, Louise Goffin, The Sharp, Rupert Holmes, The Nolans, I.S.S. (Ideal Social Situation), Martin Briley, Thirsty Merc and Utopia.
David Myhr Debuts Room To Grow On The Time Machine
Rocker and singer-songwriter David Myhr returned to The Time Machine to share the world broadcast debut of his song "Room To Grow" from his forthcoming album "Lucky Day" to be released on the Lojinx record label.

The Time Machine Crew were also thrilled to have Forte' as guests on the broadcast because it had been twenty-one years since Gissele, Joanne, Kristina and Marlene were on the radio show. Joanne and Marlene shared their beginnings with music and it gave host Michael McCartney a chance to play the theme to "Jem".
Halemanu And Teri Garrison Interviews On The Time Machine
Singer-songwriters Halemanu Villiarimo, Jr. and Teri Garrison were recent musical guests on The Time Machine. Halemanu shared with the Maui radio audience the world broadcast debut of some of his songs on his brand new album "So The Story Goes" . Halemanu discussed the stories and inspiration behind his original songs and the material of other artists he decided to include on his debut CD and digital release.
The remakes are part of his family’s story as well. Peter Moon's “Pandanus" was wonderfully recorded for the album and Halemanu shared how that song and “Waiulu" are part of his family’s story. "Pandanus" was a song that both his dad and uncle enjoyed playing at parties, while “Waiulu” was sung in tribute to his grandmother, as it was one of her favorite songs. Halemanu also spoke about his grandfather being a train conductor and that the connection to include Palani Vaughan's song about the first railroad on Maui, “Ka’a Ahi Kahului” was an important part of the album. The Time Machine's host Michael McCartney was thrilled that “Carweelah Ride” appeared on the album. The song quite simply has Halemanu driving from Central Maui to West Maui only to realize that the date he was making the drive for was on another day. Most of the staff of The Time Machine Crew relate to having traffic come to a standstill on the Pali portion of the Honoapiilani Highway on the Valley Isle and Halemanu's “Carweelah Ride” speaks for many of Maui's drivers stuck on the road. “Ala Kahiko A'o Hana (Old Hana Road)" was also able to take Halemanu's vivid childhood memories of the drive between Kahului and Hana, giving it emotional memory for many long time Maui residents.
Teri Garrison returned to The Time Machine and also shared a world broadcast debut of her new song "How Much The Music Lingers" and discusses with hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney her excitement of being back in the islands. She also spoke about the inspiration behind her song "Lahaina Town".
Other artists featured on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast include; Ben Lee & Mandy Moore, The Rascals, Stephen Bishop, The Smith Bros., The Tubes, Farrah Fawcett & Jean-Paul Vignon, Darden Smith, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and ABC.
Josh Isn't was a guest on The Time Machine to share the world broadcast debut of his Brian Wilson / Beach Boys inspired arrangement of the classic 1961 Bobby Vee number one pop song "Take Good Care Of My Baby" composed by the legendary songwriting team of Gerry Goffin and Carole King.
Bobby Troup's "Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring" and The Weeknd's "I Feel It Coming" were also given the Josh Isn't touch in the studio.
New music was also featured on this Maui afternoon FM aircheck with radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney spinning songs from Steve Craig, Tim Smolen's I.S.S. (Ideal Social Situation) and a Time Machine favorite from The Cowsills to close out the broadcast.
