Yvonne Elliman Interview on The Time Machine
The Time Machine Crew were honored to have singer-songwriter Yvonne Elliman as a guest on the radio program. Her talent has shined and engaged audiences from the stage, screen and musical performances that have proven to be timeless.

Ultraviolet Sound will soon be releasing their sophomore album since the group, also known as UVS, released their first full length record, "OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Dancing)". Since the band's second album is fast approaching, The Time Machine Crew thought that it would be a kick to go back and share with you an interview with one of the band's co-founders. Rocker and singer-songwriter Sarah Hudson was a guest on The Time Machine and Sarah's catchy songs have been a part of our playlists since her first album "Naked Truth" was released in 2004. In addition to discussing her music, Sarah shared her thoughts on one of her favorite songs that her father Mark Hudson (producer and singer-songwriter) had recorded with her uncles Bill Hudson and Brett Hudson. Naturally, this gave radio host Michael McCartney an excuse to play a set of songs from The Hudson Brothers.

With his new album "Queens English" coming out this May 18th, The Time Machine Crew thought that it would be fun to take a listen to the talented and musical gifted Mark Bacino's previous interview when his sophomore release "The Million Dollar Milkshake" was dominating the FM dial on Maui. Mark returned to the broadcast to not only discuss his music but was also guest DJ. He also shared a song that has yet to be released.

Rock and Roll legend and singer-songwriter Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon has been a guest on The Time Machine a number of times over the years. The Time Machine Crew thought that it would be a treat to listen to the first time that Freddy stopped by the studio to chat with radio host Michael McCartney. Pure radio magic between musical artist and radio disc jockey.

Radio hosts Summer Blue and Michael McCartney were having an off day with one another on the air but that didn't stop them from playing some pop on the radio show. To say that they went overboard puts it mildly. The first on-air studio performance of the new decade brought singer-songwriter Lindsey Yung to The Time Machine. Lindsey's sophomore release "Opal Essence" has been a part of our playlists since 2008. The talented San Diego artist began singing as a child, making her professional debut at age 5, in the musical "South Pacific". The rest, as they say, is history.
Lindsey’s music has received recognition on many levels. She won the 2006 Los Angeles Music Award for the category: Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year and was nominated by popular vote for a 2007 San Diego H.A.T. award (Honoring Acoustic Talent Award) in the category of "best vocalist". She received a 2008 "honor award" for her song "With Every Breath" from the 9th Annual Great American Song Contest and was nominated for a 2008 and 2009 Asian Heritage Award in the category of "performing arts". "Opal Essence" was included on the coveted list of "Best Albums of 2008" put out by KGRL FM and The Time Machine's "Most Played Albums of 2008". Most recently, Lindsey’s song "It Doesn’t Get Better Than This" made it to the finals of the Kauai Music Festival Songwriting Competition 2009.

Likewise for Rob Bonfiglio's album "Bring On The Happy", Mark Hudson's "The Artist" and Mandy Moore's album "Amanda Leigh". Gail Swanson released her long anticipated follow-up to "Living In A Movie" with her end of the year release of "Simple Truth" and among the number of wonderful songs getting spins at the end of the year included her duet with Michael McDonald on the classic Skeeter Davis smash hit "End Of The World". Susanna Hoffs and Matthew Sweet returned to The Time Machine with heavy airplay in 2009 with their second album release "Under The Covers: Volume Two" which also featured a George Harrison cover. The duo also brought along Dhani Harrison to perform on his Dad's song "Beware Of Darkness". Rocker and singer-songwriter Brian Ray returned to The Time Machine a few months ago and was not only our guest DJ but also permitted us to play his upcoming album "This Way Up" as a world broadcast debut on the FM dial and online. In addition to performing a couple of his songs live on the air, Brian also let us play his new song "I Found You" that included an absolute killer rock instrumental break. He explained that he something in store for last weekend's halftime show between the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans.

Brian arranged and produced a tribute to Les Paul featuring Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and Orianthi from Michael Jackson's band. Brian stated about his guitar partners on stage, "He's a god, she's reDUNKulous!" Add in the 100 kids on guitars for Gibson Foundation's Music In Schools program and you have got an amazing guitar performance.
