Alika Seki Discusses Maui Comic Con 2018 On The Time Machine
Maui Comics & Collectibles' Alika Seki returned to The Time Machine to share with the Maui radio audience the exciting events scheduled for Maui Comic Con 2018. Looking forward to this. Alika is always a blast to have on the air on The Time Machine and this weekend's festivities at Maui Comic Con promises to be fun. Maui Comic Con is a free-to-the-public comic convention made by locals for locals to showcase local talent as well as some of the biggest names in the comic industry.
Located at University of Hawaii Maui College, the event is scheduled for October 27th & 28th, Saturday and Sunday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM each day, with a preview day featuring the vendors on Friday October 26th 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Special guests this year include: Trina Robbins (Wonder Woman, Wimmin's Comix, Vampirella), Steve Leialoha (Doctor Strange, Howard the Duck, New Mutants, Fables), Steve Lavigne (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mirage Publishing), Bob Camp (Ren & Stimpy, Thundercats, Mighty Magi-swords), and the creator of Venom, legendary Marvel comics writer David Michelinie.
Maui Comic Con will also be joined by many more local artists and Hawaiian Comic Book Alliance members in the artists alley from all over Hawaii. The vendor hall is packed with local businesses and comic shops. This year's food will be provided by local school groups organized by the Maui High School PTSA to help raise funds towards their activities.
All this and the official Night Darling Cosplay competition, COMPLETELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
