Christmas On The Time Machine
The Christmas season is here. The Time Machine loves this time of year because music is an important element of this season that touches so many. Artists appreciate the chance to express themselves within their realm or step away with a completely different musical approach.
Another reason that The Time Machine Crew enjoys the holidays is that artists drop in on the FM airwaves of Maui as if your next door neighbor stopped by on Christmas Eve or on Christmas morning after the presents have all been opened. Bringing in good cheer and appearing on this FM radio aircheck include; Mike Viola, Kelly Jones, Dave Stephens, Marianne Keith and Laurie Biagini. These singer-songwriters have been a pleasure to play on the radio and sharing the Christmas Spirit with our own Ashley Starr, Jenny Leong, Michael McCartney and Summer Blue was Deron Furukawa. Deron started in radio back in 1998 and during this broadcast he made his first attempt at baking Christmas cookies. Although you don't get to hear Deron during this show, trust us when we say that his tasty treats kept the radio staff well fed during the program. He must have really been paying attention to the Food Network last week.
Other artists heard on this afternoon radio show aircheck include;
The Wellingtons, Vibeke Saugestad, Bangles, Fountains Of Wayne, Sparkle Jets UK, Pugwash & Friends, Liz Phair, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Christmas Cowboys, Dan Bern & Mike Viola, Candypants, Andy Partridge, Alternativa, Wondermints, Mark Bacino, Beach Boys, Andrew Sisters & Guy Lombardo, Hanson, Cheap Trick, Farrah and Bleu.
