Rachael Yamagata Releases New EP "Loose Ends" - New Album Set For October Release On Warner Brothers

Singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata (and frequest radio guest on The Time Machine) has some exciting news to share today.

    Dear Patient Pollyanna Partners,

News news news! I've just signed with Warner Bros Records and we are working overtime to get all ducks in a row for an early October release! Thank you for hanging with me all this time – it's been a long road of red tape trails, but I'm very excited about the new team of peeps and I can finally say that we are on our way!

I am pleased to say there is a little something available for your listening pleasure – an ep. The "L Word" was kind enough to premiere one of the songs a few weeks back ("The Other Side"). We heard you were looking, and lord knows you've been waiting for a record, so while I work on getting that out, I've put three songs up to tide you over. They are not "happy" per se (I do stay true to my roots), but they do feature some beautiful strings and my old friend, the piano. There is a link on myspace, or you may go directly here

So for those of you heading for heartbreak, here is some tonic. Add vodka or gin, a candle, some headphones and please enjoy.

    It's been a long wait.
The wait means nothing when put up against the three songs Rachael has on this E.P. Loose Ends.
    The strings...the guitar work ..
oh god! listen to the bass and drums in the opener The Other Side!

    Then "Parade"
Rachael's voice...(listen to the way she sings the word "shoes" oh god meltdown for me!)
    Rachael's piano.
I don't know where i went when i first heard this song but i've never been there before.

    "Answering the door"...
well you won't be able to do that for awhile if you listen to her sing this one.

It's amazing how someone can do that to you with a song...
She does it like no one else...
    She's allowed...I'll let her.
I gave that up a long time ago.

Take me away please R.Y. is what i wanted and it's what you gave me with these new tracks.

You can probably come up with better words here than me...i'm just floored at how good these songs are.

What a gem of an artist for putting this out for her fans!
If anything go to the link the time machine has provided and read the words she's put down there.
    Beyond sweet she is...

Here in the prairies tonight the night sky has all the stars lined up in a way i haven't seen before.
    Rachael did you do that?
