Chris Collingwood, Rachael Yamagata, Andrew Curry and David Myhr Inteviews on The Time Machine

Singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata returns to The Time Machine along with Fountains of Wayne's Chris Collingwood to debut brand new songs with Andrew Curry for the upcoming album project "Here Comes The Reign Again: The Second British Invasion". Both Chris and Rachael discuss their cover arrangements of two eighties classics for the album. "Life In A Northern Town" from Dream Academy gets the treatment from Chris Collingwood with Winterpills adding to those wonderful harmonies. The Culture Club's massive worldwide radio hit "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" truly gets the magic touch from Rachael Yamagata that her fans around the globe have embraced. Another new song from Rachael is also featured on the broadcast that was a collaboration with composer David Das for the motion picture soundtrack "The Appearing" starring Emily Brooks, Will Wallace, Don Swayze and Dean Cain. The Lionsgate film released in March from director Daric Gates can currently be seen on demand online at Amazon. In addition to the haunting sound that Rachael and David have created for the film's closing credits, "Disappear" features the incredible violin playing of Songa Lee. A disclaimer should be added to this as one of The Time Machine's radio show hosts, Michael McCartney, also served as Music Supervisor for the movie (which he humbly admits that all he really did was get the two creative forces of David Das and Rachael Yamagata together for the film's score). Kicking off the broadcast is another return guest. Rocker and singer-songwriter David Myhr's song "Record Collection" has been receiving heavy airplay on The Time Machine for over a year following the release of his wonderful debut album "Soundshine" two years ago, the co-founding member of The Merrymakers made available to the FM airwaves of Hawaii this catchy tune that frames a relationship down to musical tastes between two people's own personal music collections. Many of our radio listening audience gravitated towards this song's lyrics and melodies and now that song is included in David Myhr's brand new upcoming digital EP release this May 5th. The Time Machine Crew couldn't happier that the EP is titled "Record Collection" and is a delight from beginning to end. "Boom Boom Beat" also makes a debut on David's forthcoming EP featuring Puffy Amiyumi.

Others artists featured on this afternoon Maui FM broadcast aircheck include Fountains of Wayne, Robbie Fulks, Jon Brion, Mike Viola and Puffy AmiYumi (aka Puffy).
