Baby, It's Cold Outside on Maui
On this Christmas Eve, The Time Machine radio hosts, Daphne Matsumoto and Michael McCartney, found themselves having a wonderful time on the air sharing brand new Christmas songs from Neil Nathan, The Britannicas, Arden Kaywin, The Hollyberrys, Selma Blair & Rainn Wilson, The Genuine Fakes, The Rip Chords and The Wellingtons. Summer Blue along with producers Jenny Leong and Ashley Starr kept the Time Machine Christmas tradition with DJ Deron Furukawa's bake-a-thon that resulted in him stopping by during the broadcast immediately after letting his cookies cool out of the oven. Feeling the Christmas spirit and perhaps a wee bit competitive was our own PSA Goddess Kai and DJ Skinny Guy busting a few moves in the kitchen that produced the warmest chewy chocolate chip cookies and the finest chewy chocolate brownies ever in the air studio. Keeping everyone on their best behavior on the air and behind the scenes was precious little Ayva.
The Time Machine featured two special Christmas songs from two of our most heavily played and requested artists, Jason Mraz and She & Him's Zooey Deschanel with her duet partner Will Farrell, from the motion picture "Elf". Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM radio aircheck include; Bill Lloyd, Vibeke Saugestad, Kip Oddotta, Darlene Love, Spinal Tap, XTC, The Muppets, Vince Guaraldi Trio, Beach Boys, Farrah, Andy Williams, Jonas Brothers, Pugwash, The Ramones, Brian Setzer & Ann-Margret, The Damned and Bleu.
*This radio broadcast aircheck was powered by shave ice, Little Buddha, cute cats and Rachael Yamagata on vinyl under the Christmas tree.
