Before his film and television career, Brett and his brothers Bill and Mark began their musical career in the sixties as teenagers. Other artists discussed during this Maui FM broadcast included; Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, George Harrision, Neil Innes, The Rutles, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Emitt Rhodes, Steve Winwood, The Spencer Davis Group, Buffalo Springfield, Bernie Taupin, Elton John, Bruce Johnston, Carl Wilson, Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, Maurice Gibb, Randy Foote (long considered the fourth Hudson brother), Bruce Springsteen, Buddy Merrill (Lawrence Welk's guitar player), Peter Marshall, Jonathan Winters, Paul Lynde, Led Zeppelin, Rodney "Rod" Hull (and Emu), Burt Reynolds and behind the scenes folks like Tony Macaulay, Dick Monda, Jim Bailey, Neil Bogart, Ken Caillat and Clive Davis. The Hudson Brothers earlier days as The My Sirs, The New Yorkers, Everyday Hudson and Hudson were talked about, in addition to playing music from the various incarnations of the band which eventually led to three television series and Brett's path to filmmaking that keeps him busy to this very day. The celebration of arts and entertainment continue with Brett's children, along with his nieces and nephews, carving out their own careers as another generation of Hudsons.
