Taylor Locke Returns To The Time Machine
Rocker and singer-songwriter Taylor Locke returned to The Time Machine to share a brand new song from his forthcoming solo debut album "Time Stands Still". After his work as a founding member with Rooney as well as Taylor Locke & The Roughs, it's exciting music news to hear that Taylor is coming out with his own solo project. He discussed the inspiration behind his latest song "Running Away From Love" that he collaborated on with Kelly Jones and Bill DeMain and is currently in heavy rotation on The Time Machine's playlists as well as being part of Emitt Rhodes upcoming album.
Brand new music from Dan Wilson was also highlighted on the radio show. Radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney also gave spins to Apple Jam's arrangement of Paul McCartney's "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" that he penned for The Everly Brothers and Maui's own Gail Swanson's amazing duet with Michael McDonald on the ukulele covering the Skeeter Davis classic "The End Of The World". Other artists featured on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast include; Rooney, Kelly Jones, Cliff Richard & Freda Payne, Candy, Blondie, George Harrison (also covering an Everly Brothers song), Badfinger, Paul McCartney and Mike Viola.
The Time Machine's Executive Producer Jenny Leong also steps up to the microphone to spill the beans about radio host Michael McCartney's nearly three decade old habit of addressing everyone on the phone. She's put up with it on a daily basis and decided to replay back what was not heard on the air with Linus of Hollywood, the previous guest on the same broadcast just before Taylor Locke.
