Michael McDonald And Willie K Return To The Time Machine
Singer-songwriters Willie Kahaiali'i and Michael McDonald returned to The Time Machine as musical guests. Willie K was gearing up for the Willie K and Friends Bluesfest at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center this past January 6th featuring his band Willie K & The Warehouse Blues Band Alice Cooper, Asleep At The Wheel's Ray Benson, Alto Reed from the Bob Seger Band, Gretchen Rhodes, KD Russell Band, Kennedy Cantu and both Michael McDonald and Patrick Simmons from The Doobie Brothers. Both Willie and Michael shared with radio host Michael McCartney their thoughts behind the Bluesfest. Michael also shared some stories and inspirations behind some of his most popular songs that have been embraced all over the world for over forty years and discussed his brand new album "Wide Open".
Brand new music was also heard from Bill DeMain on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast along with artists; Amy Holland, Chuck Berry, The Doobie Brothers, The Beach Boys, Patti LaBelle, The Paley Brothers, James Ingram, Gail Swanson, Amanda Sudano Rameriz with Vince Gill and disc jockey Tanya Teal's music set bidding a final Aloha for her Uncle Daryl with Bryan Adams, The Eagles and David Bowie.
