Dana Countryman Takes The Time Machine To Girlville Interview
Dana Countryman returns to The Time Machine with an album that he's been working on for over a year. It's a collaborative project released by Teensville Records titled "Girlville!" that has Dana in the producer's seat and as an arranger for an eclectic group of wonderful female vocalists that include Lisa Mychols, Andrea Perry, Lisa Jenio, Swan Dive's Molly Felder, Kathy Hettel, Mary Chris Henry, Tricia Countryman, Kelly Harland and Julie Johnson Sand. A number of talented musicians join in the musical fun with Dana including Klaatu's Dee Long with his lead guitar work backing up Lisa Mychols on her performance of "I've Run All Out Of Tears (To Cry Over You)". Every song on this record is amazing and so well done. The album cover declares, "New Songs In The Style Of Yesterday's Hits" and it delivers on that statement. Dana Countryman's latest musical album project "GIRLVILLE" is phenomenal. The melodies and lyrics, with the arrangements are absolute perfection. "GIRLVILLE" is pure pop bliss.
In addition to Dana Countryman sharing with radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney what was involved in producing "Girlville!", other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM radio aircheck include The Weeklings, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Annette Funicello, Ronnie D'Addario, Jan & Dean, Darlene Love and Matt Tyson.
