Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds Interview on The Time Machine
The Yardbirds are coming to Maui to perform on September 16th and The Time Machine Crew was ecstatic to have Jim McCarty as a guest. In addition to his own solo works, forming the bands Renaissance and Illusion, Jim was one of the founding members of the highly influential sixties rock group The Yardbirds currently on tour along with original co-founder Chris Dreja. Jim discussed the band's first tour to Hawaii, his early influences and the story behind his song "For Eloise" from his 2009 album "Sitting On The Top Of Time".
In addition to music from The Yardbirds and Jim's solo material, this Maui afternoon FM radio aircheck features brand new music from Alex Hepburn, Rachael Yamagata, Starr Saunders, Glen Campbell, Daryl Hall, Jeff Lynne, Gary Ritchie, Brandon Schott, Marty Rudnick & Agony Aunts, Brad Paisley, Butch Walker & The Black Widows, Bangles and Vinnie Zummo.
