    John Borack Interview on The Time Machine for Beyond Belief - A Tribute To Elvis Costello





    Producer, musician, author and reviewer John Borack returned to The Time Machine to share the music from the brand new three CD album set "Beyond Belief - A Tribute To Elvis Costello" that he co-produced with Olivia Frain. John also discussed that 100% of the proceeds from the Spyderpop release will go to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation (founded by the late composer Michael Kamen) and help put musical instruments into the hands of children in underserved areas. This fundraising album is going towards a great cause and deserves to be in your personal music collection.

    Randy Noojin Interview on The Time Machine





    Director, actor, playwright and singer-songwriter Randy Noojin was a guest on The Time Machine. Randy will be performing "Hard Travelin' With Woody", his critically acclaimed one-man multimedia play with the music and artworks of Woody Guthrie at the Maui Fringe Festival inside the historic Iao Theater on January 23rd, 24th and 25th.

    Kate Robards Interview on The Time Machine





    Playwright and actress Kate Robards was a guest on The Time Machine. Kate's play, "Mandarin Orange", will be performed at the Maui Fringe Festival 2015 this January 23rd, 24th and 25th at the historic Iao Theater. The play chronicles her journey from small town Orange, Texas to life as an expat in Shanghai, China. It was a featured as a Washington Post "highlight" at Capital Fringe in July 2014 and the play made its San Francisco debut in September 2014 at Exit Theatre. She is a Creative Producer for FOGG Theatre and an Associate Producer for The Cutting Ball Theatre, both in San Francisco. The Time Machine Radio Crew were honored to have Kate as a guest on the broadcast.

    Singer-songwriter Judy Collins was a guest on The Time Machine. She'll be performing on Aloha Friday, January 23rd, inside the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Judy shared her thoughts and inspiration behind some of her songs with radio host Michael McCartney. The entire staff of The Time Machine were thrilled to have an artist of incredible integrity discuss her musical legacy with the radio audience.

    John Hunter Phillips Interview on The Time Machine





    Singer-songwriter John Hunter Phillips returned to The Time Machine to discuss his latest album "John Hunter Phillips and The Hurricane Band". The past few years, the Oahu resident has been gracing The Time Machine's playlists with Beach Boys like harmonies and his own melodic and lyrical stamp that has sounded so glorious on the Hawaiian FM airwaves. John shared his thoughts, inspirations and musical philosophy with The Time Machine's radio hosts Tanya Teal and Michael McCartney. Also featured on the broadcast was week number four of "Timmy Sean Tuesday" where Timmy Sean continues to release a song every week for the year of 2015.

    Yo-Yo Ma Interview on The Time Machine





    World-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma 馬友友 was a recent musical guest on The Time Machine. He will be performing on Maui this coming January 22nd inside the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. The entire Time Machine radio crew is looking forward to seeing him play his Montagnana cello in person. The staff were excited to have Yo-Yo on as a guest because of his incredible musical output that has resulted in seventy-five albums and he has received fifteen Grammy Awards. Radio host Michael McCartney didn't get a chance to ask Yo-Yo about his thoughts on Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra or appearing on the very last episode of "The Colbert Report" but Yo-Yo did share his most recent personal discovery of finding out that his grandmother is actually from Hawaii, so his trip to Maui will not only be to perform but will also be a trip back to his roots.

    Timmy Sean and Toxic Melons Interviews on The Time Machine





    Rocker and singer-songwriter Timmy Sean has taken on an ambitious goal of releasing a song a week throughout 2015 and Timmy shares his thoughts with the radio audience about undertaking such a musical task as "Timmy Sean Tuesdays". Also joining the broadcast as a musical guest is Pablo Melons from Toxic Melons who discusses the recently released "Bus Therapy". The Toxic Melons album project features a number of talented artists adding to the sound of the latest album from Toxic Melons including Eric Dover, Chadwick Salls, Taylor Locke, Chris Price, Linus of Hollywood, Fernando Perdomo and Kurt Dirt.


    Brand new music was also featured by Leaderboard. Other artists heard on the Maui afternoon FM broadcast include Schuyler Fisk, REO Speedwagon, Raspberries, Electric Light Orchestra, Squeeze, George Harrison and The Goldbergs.
